Jess Fehr is an experienced HR consultant with a strong background supporting a wide range of industries, including First Nations organizations, public sector organizations, municipalities, healthcare services, agriculture, energy and resource development, and small private businesses across Western Canada.
As a Senior HR Consultant at Impact HR, Jess works closely with leaders to strengthen their people practices and create workplaces where employees feel supported and set up for success. She leads client projects in employee relations, policy development, compensation reviews, performance programs, and employee engagement. Jess also has extensive experience in full-cycle recruitment – from high-volume hiring to specialized technical roles – and provides guidance on workforce planning to ensure organizations have the right people and structure in place as their business grows or changes.
Jess also supports clients with their day-to-day people needs, offering practical guidance on performance expectations, coaching, workplace issues, and employee development. She helps leaders stay aligned with employment standards and best practices, so their people processes are clear, consistent, and compliant. She is valued for her proactive attitude, her ability to break down complex issues into clear actionable steps, and her genuine care for the clients she supports.
Jess holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Calgary and a Human Resources Management Certificate from Simon Fraser University. She has completed leadership and workplace investigation training and is currently a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) Candidate in Alberta.
